HOW IT BEGAN

Entrepreneurship was introduced to me at a young age by my parents O’Neal and Bertha Lee Lynn and my grandparents Clarence and Salama Lynn in Hartsville SC. We owned and operated Lynn’s Grocery and my 5 siblings and I helped operate that neighborhood store our entire childhood lives. Also, during the summers, we would work with at my Uncle Lawton and Aunt Dorothy’s business, Lynn’s Meat and Produce.  Then we all attended and graduated from college. I graduated for Winthrop College with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Marketing Education/Fashion Merchandising and also earned from Winthrop University a Masters Degree in Business Education.

MY 35 YEARS OF TEACHING AND GOD’s VISION

After teaching Entrepreneurship /Marketing and serving as a DECA Advisor for 35 years at Richmond Senior High, Irmo High, Dutch Fork and Spring Hill High GOD gave me the Vision to teach African American children in the community how to successfully start and maintain their own business.

I am a long time member of the Brookland Baptist Church where she serves as the Director of the Young Women of Excellence and the on the Brookland Baptist Economic Empowerment Board as the chair for Youth Entrepreneurship. She is also a member of the council of educators for YESCarolina in Charleston and the wife of Deacon Tyrone Brown from Charleston, SC.
